I would like a balloon arch, what size or type do I request?
The Size of a Balloon Arch is determined by various formulas. Let us guide you through the following steps to ensure success.
To determine balloon arch size:
- Decide where you would like the balloon arch to be placed (doorway entrance, driveway entrance, backdrop for a stage or head table, etc.)
- Measure the exact width you want the arch to span. (don’t estimate, measure, because we need to determine the total length of the arch needed. (width + height = total length))
- Measure the height (at the center) you will need for clearance to cover the area.
To determine balloon arch type:
- Indicate how much room you have for the arch (such as the distance between back wall and chairs or between the back of stage and the DJ, or is it an open area).
- The depth available will help us determine which type of arch will work best in that area.

Yes, we do have a minimum order. Balloons & Party’s minimum order requirement for balloon bouquets or balloon decorating within the Orange County area is $250, plus sales tax and delivery charge.
Balloon Releases are typically executed with Latex Balloons,
which are known to be completely safe for the environment. In fact, scientific research has proven that helium latex balloons begin oxidizing and deteriorating from the moment they are inflated and continue to decay once they are released. Latex Balloons are manufactured using the sap from rubber trees, and when released in large quantities at special events, can fill the sky with vibrant colors that stir the emotions of on lookers like no other medium.

Balloon releases are not only safe for the environment but, they are a perfect way to inject meaningful emotion and excitement into special events and outdoor celebrations, such as; Corporate kick-offs, concert finales, award presentations and even funerals.
Studies have proven that when helium latex balloons are released into the air, they lift upward approximately five (5) miles into the atmosphere, where the air is thin, causing the balloons to swell to twice their normal size. The air is so cold at this altitude that the enlarged latex balloons freeze and shatter into millions of tiny slivers, scattering over many miles as the pieces fall back to earth. The millions of tiny pieces then decompose, or rot, at about the same rate as an oak leaf that falls from an oak tree, in approximately 45 days.
What is the difference between a Balloon Column, Pillar and Tower?
A balloon column, balloon pillar and a balloon tower are essentially all the same thing. They are balloons that are stacked erect from bottom to top, usually on a frame or pole.
The balloon column can be customized for any theme and styled with a variety of textures and patterns.
To finish off the balloon column we like to add a “Topper”. Usually we “Top” the column with a large jumbo balloon, clusters of long skinny balloons, a turret or balloon numbers or letters, etc.

Our schedules fill quickly, especially around the holidays and on weekends. Décor jobs often need more notice to allow time for designing and planning. We will make every effort to secure your date and time, however, any last minute requests will be subject to availability of product on-hand and schedule availability.

Absolutely! There are many different décor options for balloons, including air-filled balloon structures that will not float away. Air-filled balloons last longer than helium balloons and still provide the “wow” factor. These structures include; framed balloon arches, balloon columns, balloon sculptures and many more.

We only use and inflate “The Very Best” professional quality grade balloons for all of our balloon decorations.
We prefer not to inflate balloons from “outside” to build balloon structures, unless they are of the same brand and quality we normally use.
We will make an exception and inflate balloons you purchased somewhere else if they are custom imprinted and intended for balloon bouquets. You must acknowledgement, however, that you understand that when we inflate balloons of lesser quality, a larger than normal percentage will pop during inflation. These “popped” balloons will still count in the total number of balloons inflated and charged for.
Therefore, the price to inflate balloons, yours or ours, is the same.

The lasting quality of balloon sculptures will depend on the size of the balloons used, the type of structure built, and its exposure to numerous environmental conditions. Balloons (especially dark colors) expand in the heat as well as in high altitude and contrasts in the cold. Water will weigh heavy on balloons and static will cause friction. Wind is another deterrent for balloons; the constant flow of air around the balloons will cause them to oxidize quickly as they begin to deteriorate.
You can help your balloon sculptures last longer by keeping them in a cool place out of direct sunlight, and away from heat, wind and static-producing electronics, like TV’s and computers. Static and invisible fibers on ceilings can cause balloons to pop expectantly. Typically, a balloon sculpture will look good for about 48 hours under mild conditions, possibly longer if it is in a protected area.

Large outdoor balloons are made of 100% bio-degradable latex and based on their color will react
differently to various environmental conditions; such as temperature, humidity, wind, altitude and static. When climate indicators become extreme, outdoor balloons can react negatively and flight times can be dramatically reduced.
When it is hot, for example, the helium inside the balloon expands, causing the balloon to stretch 3-4 inches larger, sometimes making it pop. When it gets cold and damp, the opposite will occur.
In addition, the weight of the moisture that gathers on the surface will reduce the balloons ability to float. Since we cannot predict or control these variable conditions outdoors, we cannot guarantee how outdoor balloons will react to them. However, we will do our best to recommend alternative decorations more appropriate for the environmental exposure they will be placed under during your event.

- Balloon safety issues include the proper use of Helium and helium tank storage. Helium is usually dispensed from high pressure tanks or cylinders. Care should be taken to secure the cylinder in a safety stand or chained to a wall before use. Make sure the area is well ventilated before use. DO NOT inhale helium from a balloon, breathe helium in an enclosed area or directly from a cylinder! Inhalation of Helium starves the brain of oxygen and can cause suffocation. Inhaling helium can lead to serious harm or death. Helium is non-toxic and non-flammable, but breathing it can result in asphyxiation (loss of consciousness due to insufficient oxygen).
- Balloon safety issues regarding Mylar or Foil balloons include a simple rule; ALL Mylar or Foil balloons must be weighted down. To prevent power outages, California Law states, “it is illegal to release outdoors Mylar, or Foil, balloons or any balloon attached to Mylar ribbon “. If these balloons become entangled in electrical lines they could cause a transformer to short, resulting in a possible Power outage to entire neighborhoods.
- Balloon safety issues for Latex balloons involves a warning to parents regarding children under the age of 8 years old. Children should not be left unattended with latex balloons. Inflated, un-inflated or broken latex balloons can become a choking hazard for young children and pets. Discard broken latex balloons immediately to avoid accidental suffocation. Adult supervision required.

Balloon delivery charges vary based on a few factors; the distance to your event location from our design studio, the size of your event, and how much time and labor it will require for us to set up and tear down or pick up equipment (if necessary).
We currently service all of Orange County, Los Angeles County and parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. When you request a FREE Quote, the delivery charges will be calculated and the amount will be included on your Quote for you to review.

Cancellation Policy:
Our full cancellation policy is described and explained in detail on our Order Confirmation Form. However, it can summarized in a nutshell as follows:
Cancellation Policy (abbrev): Any cancellation must be in writing. The deposit is refundable in full if written notification is received at least 14 days before the event. A portion of the deposit may be refundable, but can only be determined once a replacement booking is achieved and any direct costs for product or labor have been reimbursed.

We receive requests to donate balloons quite often. Each year, we will grant one charity organization this request and donate balloons for their event. To be eligible, non-profit organizations may submit requests, in writing and on letterhead, in the month of December. We will choose a charity to donate balloons to for the following year.
While we can’t donate balloons to every worthy organization (we wish we could!), we will offer a 10% discount off your total for your event and if it is within the local area, we will waive the setup charges!
