About Balloons (20)

How much are your balloons?

The price of a single balloon will vary based on size and shape. However, most of our work is not based on single balloons, but the use of putting together hundreds of balloons into beautiful arches, columns or even a photo wall, the possibilities are endless! The price of these items will vary as well based on size and quantity. We can provide something beautiful for almost any budget!

Do you have a minimum order?

Yes, we do have a minimum order.  Balloons N Party’s minimum order for balloon decorating is $200 plus setup/delivery charge.  Our minimum order for balloon bouquet deliveries within the Orange County area is $150, plus delivery charge.

What are your balloon delivery charges?

Balloon delivery charges vary based on your event location from our design studio, the size of your event, and how much time and labor it will require for us to set up and tear down or pick up equipment (if necessary). We currently service all of Orange County, Los Angeles County and parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Your delivery charges will be included for you in your free quote.

I would like a balloon arch, what size or type do I request?

The SIZE of a Balloon Arch is determined by various formulas. Let us guide you through the following steps to ensure success.

1.     Decide where you would like the balloon arch to be placed (doorway entrance, driveway entrance, backdrop for a stage or head table, etc.)

2.     Measure exact (don’t estimate) the width you want the arch to span and the height (at the center) you will need (for clearance) to cover the area. (width + height = total length)

3.     Indicate how much room you have for the arch (such as the distance between back wall and chairs or between the back of stage and the DJ, or is it an open area).  This will determine the depth as to which type of arch will work best in that area.

There are several types of balloon arches to consider- (view arch ideas)

What is the difference between a Balloon Column, Pillar and Tower?

A balloon column, balloon pillar and a balloon tower are essentially all the same thing.  They are balloons that are stacked erect from bottom to top.  Toppers can vary.  They can be topped with a larger balloon or clusters of balloons or a turret or foil numbers/letters, etc.

Can I reserve a date with you?

You can reserve a date…  even if you are not sure what balloon decorations you want yet. If you know you want to book our services, you can reserve the date with a $50 reservation fee. This fee is non-refundable but will be applied towards the decorations at your event.  Contact us now to reserve the date.

Balloon orders should be placed how far in advance?

We request that orders be placed at least 1 week in advance, allowing us time to prepare for your event and ensure that we have the product and items necessary to make your event amazing! We will make every effort to secure your date and time, however, any last minute requests will be subject to availability of product on-hand and schedule availability. Decor jobs often need more notice to allow time for designing and planning. Is your company insured?

Yes, Balloons & Party is fully insured.  A Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.

Do you guarantee your outdoor balloons?

Outdoor balloons react to different environmental climates such as temperature, humidity, wind, altitude and static.  We cannot predict or control these outdoor variable conditions and so we cannot guarantee how outdoor balloons will react to them.  We will do our best to recommend alternative decorations appropriate for the environmental exposure it will be placed under; however, there is no guarantee on outdoor balloons.

Do you rent helium tanks?

No, we do not rent tanks. Balloons & Party is a full service event decorating company, we do the hard work – so you don’t have to!

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Our full cancellation policy is described and explained in detail on our Order Confirmation Form. However, it can summarized in a nutshell as follows:

Cancellation Policy (abbrv):   Any cancellation must be in writing. The deposit is refundable in full if written notification is received at least 14 days before the event. A portion of the deposit may be refundable, but can only be determined once a replacement booking is achieved and any direct costs for product or labor have been reimbursed.

Will you inflate balloons purchased somewhere else?

We only use and inflate balloons of “The Very Best” professional quality grade for all of our balloon decorations.

Under normal circumstances, we prefer not to inflate balloons from “outside” to build balloon structures, unless they are professional quality grade balloons.  We will, however, make an exception and inflate balloons you purchased elsewhere for balloon bouquets with the acknowledgement that you understand that when we inflate balloons from “outside”(less than professional quality balloons) they do not have the same quality and integrity as the balloons we normally use.

Therefore, the price to inflate balloons is the same regardless if we inflate balloons that are yours or ours.  Because of the uncertainty of the quality of the balloons you provide us with, it is agreed upon that any balloons that pop during inflation, will still count in the total number of balloons inflated and charged for.

My venue will not allow helium balloons, can you still decorate?

Absolutely!  There are many different décor options for balloons including air-filled structures that will not float away, last longer than helium balloons and still provide the “wow” factor.  Ask our Certified Balloon Artists to make recommendations on air-filled balloon designs.

How long do balloon sculptures usually last?

The lasting quality of balloon sculptures will depend on the size of the balloons used, the type of structure built, and its exposure to numerous environmental conditions. Balloons (especially dark colors) expand in the heat as well as in high altitude and contrasts in the cold.  Water will weigh heavy on balloons and static will cause friction.  Wind is another deterrent for balloons; the constant flow of air around the balloons will cause the helium molecules inside to escape faster.

You can help your balloon sculptures last longer by keeping them in a cool place out of direct sunlight, and away from heat-and-static-producing electronics, like TV’s and computers.  Static and invisible fibers on ceilings can cause balloons to pop. Allow your balloons to remain tied to an anchor for at least five hours before releasing them to the ceiling. This allows the balloons to shrink enough so that the skin becomes thicker and tougher.

Balloon Releases and the Environment?

Colorful Latex Balloons ReleasedWe’re Green! Balloons N Party exclusively uses balloons that are made of 100% biodegradable latex in all of our balloon releases. Latex Balloons are known to be completely safe for the environment when released. In fact, scientific research has proven that helium latex balloons begin oxidizing and deteriorating from the moment they are inflated and they have little or no effect on pollution.

Studies have proven that when helium latex balloons are released into the air, they lift upward approximately five (5) miles into the atmosphere, where the air is thin, causing the balloons to swell to twice their normal size. The air is so cold at this altitude that the enlarged latex balloons freeze and shatter into millions of tiny slivers, scattering over many miles as the pieces fall back to earth.

The millions of tiny pieces then decompose, or rot, at about the same rate as an oak leaf that falls from an oak tree, in approximately 45 days. Balloon releases are not only safe for the environment but, they are a perfect way to inject meaningful emotion or excitement into such special events as; outdoor celebrations, program conclusions or even funerals.

Balloon safety issues?

Balloon Safety Issues

1.    tanksafetyBalloon safety issues include the proper use of Helium. Helium is usually dispensed from high pressure tanks or cylinders. Care should be taken to secure the cylinder in a safety stand before use. DO NOT breathe helium from a balloon or an enclosed area, it starves the brain of oxygen. Inhaling helium can cause harm and may even result in death. Make sure the area is well ventilated before use. Helium is neither toxic nor flammable, but breathing it can result in asphyxiation (loss of consciousness due to insufficient oxygen).

2.    foil inflationBalloon safety issues regarding Foil (mylar) balloons include a simple rule; all Foil balloons must be weighted down.  As a safety issue to prevent power outages, California Law states, “it is illegal to release foil balloons and balloons with mylar ribbon outdoors”.  Power failure can result if these balloons become entangled in electrical lines.

3.     Toy_Safety_W2An important balloon safety issues for Latex balloons involves a warning to parents regarding Un-inflated or broken latex balloons. They can be a choking hazard to young children and pets. Discard broken latex balloons immediately to avoid accidental suffocation. Adult supervision required.

Do you donate balloons or offer discounts to not-for-profit organizations?

We receive requests to donate balloons quite often.  Each year, we will grant one charity organization this request and donate balloons for their event.  To be eligible, non-profit organizations may submit requests, in writing and on letterhead, in the month of December.  We will choose a charity to donate balloons to for the following year.

While we can’t donate balloons to every worthy organization (we wish we could!), we will offer a 10% discount off your total for your event and if it is within the local area, we will waive the setup charges!
